Inside Sales Development Rep - Contractor at Cloudian

The Inside Sales Development Rep Contractor (ISR) is responsible for building the sales pipeline by transitioning lead inquiries into qualified leads for the field sales team. ISRs are the first line of contact in the sales process and must be able to engage prospects with appropriate qualifying questions and conversations to drive interest in Cloudian products and support the field sales team to generate qualified opportunities in their designated regions.


  • Lead Management/nurture, including tracking, follow-up, converting into opportunities in Salesforce, etc.
  • Deliver Cloudian sales pitch and technology to potential customers, tailor those pitches to the specific needs of the potential customer, and answer questions accordingly Interact with prospects via email and social selling avenues (cold email)
  • Research company accounts with an eye on an identification of who are the key titles and how to generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with the regional manager and regional partners
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with internal sales teams
  • Consistently achieve completed meeting quotas
  • Provide closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization


  • Familiarity and comfortable with automated emailing tools to maximize production and efficiency
  • A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple executive levels within an organization
  • Opportunity lead qualification and objection handling
  • Proven track record achieving measurable inside sales goals in an automated sales/marketing environment where accurate data entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
  • Ability to work as a team player in a high-energy team environment
  • Strong writing skills
  • Sales training and Salesforce experience a plus
  • BS or BA is a plus

 This is a 25-40 hour a week contract position that will work in the San Mateo, CA office and report to the WW, Inside Sales Manager
