Cloud Product Manager at Univa

The Position

Univa is looking for a Cloud Product Manager to develop and implement the strategic plan for Univa’s cloud management product, Navops Launch. The Cloud Product Manager will work closely with Customers and the Univa Sales team to define product requirements and then translate into actionable Product Plans.  You will provide Marketing with the necessary outbound direction and content to build awareness and demand.

As a Cloud Product manager, you will work closely with Sales and Marketing to educate and promote our solutions to various key audiences.  You will define the roadmap and features for Univa’s cloud management product line, working closely with the go-to-market team to ensure successful roll out of the product plan per the product roadmap.  You have experience taking ownership of a product while effectively operating with senior level executives and are excited to repeat that success at Univa.

Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis – Establish the target market and user segment priorities in collaboration with product marketing, management and sales.
  • Competitive Analysis – Conduct competitive positioning analysis and performance analysis to understand product positioning relative to competitors and identify key gaps.
  • Product Roadmap – Maintain the product roadmap and represent it both internally and externally. Work with key customers, analysts and the field organization to gather requirements for future releases and feedback on current releases – ensure they are synthesized into the product roadmap.  Lead communications related to emerging opportunities with the Product Engineering team, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Product Plan – Create and maintain the product plan for market penetration. This includes ROI modeling, definition of core customer benefits and product differentiation.
  • Product Requirements – Collect and analyze requirements from Customers and internal Univa contributors.
  • Product Enhancements – Support Engineering by evaluating product enhancement requests then prioritizing them into future product releases.

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related experience in Enterprise Software, of which 5+ years consist of deep exposure in product management of a cloud-based solution.
  • 5+ years of deep and extensive B2B Cloud Computing and SaaS software experience.
  • Successfully launched and evangelized enterprise-class software products.
  • Experience with marketing or selling into new markets on both the technical and business sides of a customer.
  • Proven ability to analyze and communicate market and technology requirements as well as product requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of enterprise infrastructure such as Configuration Management tools like Puppet and Chef. Experience with cloud infrastructure and APIs such as Amazon AWS, Google Compute Engine and Microsoft Azure is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Networking including: VLAN, VPC, named and dnsmasq, routing and firewalls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
