Technical Marketing Evangelist at Sigfox

We have an amazing network team that is working hard to cover 3.8m sq miles of the US in Sigfox connectivity. We need someone to spread the word across this key country about our technology, our rich ecosystem, and the types of solutions our connectivity enables.

 

Sigfox is on a mission to provide global connectivity for the Internet of Things. Currently in 45 countries and growing, Sigfox unique device to cloud connectivity enables enterprises to connect objects to the internet at scale cost efficiently, with years to decades battery life. Sigfox is proud to be the IoT connectivity provider for companies such as Louis Vuitton, Michelin, and Save The Rhinos where we are enabling rhinos tracking to prevent poaching in South Africa. Sigfox USA is the local network operator for Sigfox in the US market where we are currently deployed in 24 of the largest metros and expanding our network daily.

 

Sigfox USA is looking for an energetic Technical Evangelist with a solid understanding of IoT and passion for the unbridled power it harnesses. The ideal candidate is part marketer who has a natural born talent to tell stories, and part techy who is comfortable talking about things like APIs, security, connectivity landscape, callbacks, and more. This person should know when to dial up, or down the tech talk to suit the audience they are addressing.

 

A highly visible role, the Technical Evangelist will be the spokesperson and face for Sigfox in the US, shinning under the spotlight delivering the impactful messaging and stories you’ve help develop. You’ll be promoting Sigfox, showcasing our connectivity, value proposition, solutions we enable to maintain a visible presence online and offline.

 

Your ability to inspire a wide range of audiences about Sigfox connectivity through a wide variety of channels will help turn our awareness from a zero to a hero in the US market.  

 

What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Craft compelling blog, LinkedIn, and thought leadership articles that showcase the power of our connectivity, value proposition, and evoke a feeling of goodness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to determine key vertical tradeshows, industry events, conferences, and regional vertical events to attend and / or sponsor
  • Present, host, attend, and speak on webinars and events including conferences / tradeshows, workshops, key metro meetups, and other event types
  • Collaborate with partners, attending their events, webinars, and creating co-marketing collateral
  • Produce and publish how to guides, overview document, and videos
  • Conduct media and analyst briefings
  • Design and develop your very own podcast
  • Build email database and email campaigns
  • Deliver hands-on workshops in key cities within the US
  • Build a social media following of IoT enthusiasts

 

Here’s what we are looking for

  • Bachelors in business administration, marketing communications, information technology, or computer science
  • Minimum 3 years in technical marketing, product management, or technical sales role, preferably in the IoT industry
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentations skills and proven ability to communicate technical concepts into inspiring narratives, with portfolio to showcase
  • Public speaking experience and excel at presenting in any size group to a wide range of audience profiles
  • Ridiculously impressive strong social media presence
  • Self-starter, with an eagerness to take on responsibilities
  • Innately amazing interpersonal skills to build strong relationships
  • Up to 50% domestic travel
