Senior DevOps Infrastructure Engineer at Bromium

You will be based at our global center of engineering in Cambridge, working with advanced virtualization technology within a world-leading team.  Everyone at Bromium has an important impact in the company, directly affecting the products we ship - your ideas and effort matter.  Bromium software is the last line of defense, and either it does its job, or the bad guys win.  There has never been a reported escape through our virtualization protection, and the mission of DevOps within Bromium is to make sure that protection is always there and always at its best.

As part of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering the applications and infrastructure necessary to support our R&D, corporate and customer-facing services.  This includes tightly integrated DevOps pipelines connecting code changes to multiple Cloud deployments through automation, to support our Agile workflows.  You will plan and provision the tools required to enable us to develop, test, deliver and operate our revolutionary endpoint security products.  You will help build and deploy the cloud-based orchestration and threat intelligence infrastructure that are pivotal to the real-time protection of millions of Bromium customers.

You should have a strong track record of working closely with engineering and product teams, working in fast moving environments where security, reliability and availability are critical.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Build, deploy and manage R&D, corporate, and customer-facing infrastructure and services

• Design infrastructure with security as a key objective, and work to improve security of existing services

• Ensure appropriate availability, reliability and scalability of applications and services

• Optimize our workflows through automation 

Job Requirements: 

• Deep expertise in Systems Administration (Windows and ideally Linux)

• Strong understanding of networking principles, virtualization technologies and storage fundamentals

• Good understanding of how to secure systems and detect intrusion

• Proficient with technologies and operation of cloud applications (AWS, Azure, Cloudflare, load balancing, high availability, NetScaler, relational databases)

• Able to design and implement automated systems in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Ruby)

• Familiar with configuration management systems (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.)

• Comfortable with monitoring, logging and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline or equivalent
