Director of National Sales at ElaCarte

The Position:

You will be responsible for prospecting and closing sales agreements with national restaurant companies. We are looking for a creative and driven enterprise sales professional, with previous experience working at an early-stage company, and ideally, selling technology in the restaurant industry.. Our sale has an evangelical nature to it; our National Sales Manager will need to have the ability to craft a vision, get people excited, and rapidly drive from conceptual buy-in to substantive negotiation and close.

Our sales leader will be a critical member of the growing E la Carte team and will contribute to the operational execution and revenue growth of the overall business.

Our National Sales Manager is an individual contributor position, with quota responsibility for closing sales.

Qualifications:

3 -10 years selling complex system level /SaaS/IoT solutions to companies with over $50M revenue.

High comfort level with complex technology, and ability to clearly counter concerns and objections with a prospect

Experience working at early-stage companies with emerging growth, less structure and room to create new processes and procedures to get deals over the finish line

Proven experience closing deals where some degree of customization is involved.

Skilled at initiating and sustaining phone and in-person executive level discussions, overcoming objections in real-time, and proactively managing sales cycles

Proficient in navigating organizations and influence maps to leverage champions and neutralize blockers

Team oriented, organized and self-motivated

Excellent time management and communications skills, verbal and written

Bachelor’s Degree required (technical degree or graduate degree is a plus)

Highly self-motivated and objective driven

A pragmatic approach and the ability to thrive under pressure of constant change and moving targets

Has strong work ethic and core values (honesty and integrity).

High energy level, proactive, and upbeat with strong organizational skills

Takes “full ownership” of desired outcome.

Key responsibility: Delivers top line revenue from casual-dining restaurants. This executive will be a leader and a critical member of the E la Carte team and will contribute to the strategic direction and operational execution of the overall business.

Focus on selling to the casual-dining market. The executive will develop and implement a revenue strategy including target identification, target qualification, sales and business development processes.
Build out an appropriate org chart to aid in developing sales strategies and account management approaches.
In participation with the management team, shape the overall company direction to increase organizational, financial, product and customer success.
Use consultative skills to develop opportunities and pursue complex contracts.
Navigate complex organization charts and secure buy-in from C-level executives. Gather accurate feedback during the sales process.
Close deals with target opportunities. Gauge and react to client needs in real time.
Review tactical account plans and obtain the support of key internal stakeholders. Accurately forecast sales revenue, based on in-depth understanding and sound judgement.
Desired Skills and Experience:

Excellent sales and business development skills. Proven ability to collaborate with senior executives on corporate product vision, strategy and roadmap.
Proven track record of selling enterprise deals where several decision makers are involved. Familiarity with selling technology within the restaurant industry is preferred.
Strong ability to develop positive and effective relationships with internal functional groups; Engineering, Marketing, Product, et al.
Ideally, experience of scaling early-stage technology venture.
A visionary – someone able to make an evangelical sale.
Degree-level education preferred.
