Cloudian is a leader in the rapidly expanding cloud object storage space. We bring S3 storage capability into our customer's datacenters, letting them create infinitely scalable storage for their most capacity-rich applications.

Cloudian is available through the Amazon Marketplace, enabling Amazon S3 customers to create scalable hybrid cloud storage environments.

Cloudian appliances and software are sold direct and through reseller partners. Use cases include media asset management, big data, bioinformatics, IoT, and backup/archive.

This is a terrific opportunity to get in on the ground floor of an exciting technology startup. As Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling Cloudian’s products to Enterprise customers. Utilizing your excellent relationship building, negotiating and technical skills, you will drive the entire sales process including prospecting, developing business proposals, responding to RFP’s, develop customer presentations, and selling products. You will work with and leverage Engineering, Support, and Executives teams to attain your sales goals. You must be passionate about cloud technologies and have a razor sharp focus on winning customers. Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities are to find customers and capture sales opportunities, working in a “channel assist” model, going direct as well as through channel partners. Specific areas of responsibility include:

* Win new customers, with focus on reference-able, well known
Enterprise accounts
* Sign up and train new storage VARs and distributors, make them
productive
* Build a sales pipeline
* Manage the entire sales process directly with customers & VARs
* Manage the product evaluation/test process with prospects including
determination of customer acceptance criteria
* Work with product team to find beta customers for future Cloudian
products
* Work with marketing on effective strategies and finding reference
customers
* Develop written customer proposals and customize sales presentations
to address their business needs

Requirements

* At least 5 years of experience selling storage products to
Enterprise. Software sales experience a plus.
* Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas, flawless
reputation with customers and partners.
* Must have demonstrated success in multiple key verticals, e.g.
Financials, Medical, Government, Media & Entertainment, Oil & Gas.
* Experience selling to enterprise, both direct and indirect
* Prior experience working at a startup highly desirable
* Has a strong understanding of storage products and vendor landscape
* Self-starter, excellent leadership skills, ability to win creatively
with limited resources
* Hands on skills with Salesforce, Excel, and Powerpoint
* Ability to work collaboratively with employees within department and
across functions.
* Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions
solve business problems.
* Ability to convey information clearly and provide analysis as needed
to help customer make buying decisions.
