Impact in this Role

Your role as a Logistics Supervisor will be to support and drive improvement to our critical manufacturing functions. We have two sets of customers—our builders, who order parts through us, and our manufacturing partners, who manufacture and assembly these parts—and you’ll take the inputs from our builders and work with our manufacturing partners to deliver on our builders’ expectations.  At Fictiv, we believe in creating and empowering product innovators to create, and you’ll be playing a critical role in making that happen.

In this role, you’ll be using your supply chain and logistics experience, trade compliance knowledge and experience to oversee the execution of Fictiv’s international shipping and export compliance out of China.

You will report to the International Logistics Lead in China.

What You’ll Be Doing

    Supports the coordination of import/export shipments from Fictiv and Fictiv’s manufacturing partner locations to our customers.
    Monitor transit of cargo to ensure delivery and resolve delivery problems as needed.
    Respond to shipping complaints, customs delays, and damages.
    Administers import/export record keeping requirements.
    Partner with transportation integrators, freight forwarders, and other private companies to ensure efficiency and low cost in shipment deliveries.
    Provide international freight quotes to Technical Project Managers and other team members in the organization
    Responsible for the creation and review of shipping documents and Coordinate booking, pickup arrangements, creation of shipping documents and all the necessary operations of handling a shipment with a Freight forwarder.
    Expertise on HTS classification, Country of Origin, Free Trade Agreements and customs valuation.
    Leverage your expertise with the China export process to ensure all shipments are compliant with international customs regulations.
    Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes.
    Identify opportunities for and implement change to realize cost savings for Fictiv and its customers.
    Develop and document standard operating procedures.
    Coordinate the monthly settlement process with for carriers with the Finance department
    Coordinate with the Logistics lead for the creation of monthly statements and reports to support logistics operations.
    Other Logistics related tasks as indicated by the international logistics lead

Desired Background & Traits

    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, transportation, logistics, business, finance; master’s degree preferred
    Minimum of 3 years experience in the industry or a related field
    Familiarity and experience with customs topics such as valuation, classification, free trade agreements, country of origin rules and other trade compliance topics
    You are meticulous, detail-oriented, and have an inclination for documentation
    You have a history of data-based decision making
    intermediate english verbal and written communication skills
    Self-starter, manages time efficiently, able to complete work in a timely manner without active supervision
    Strong project management skills with ability to supervise multiple projects
    Ability to communicate regulatory requirements to non-technical audience
