Marcom: Digital Content Strategist and Writer at Cloudian

Description

 

Seeking a highly skilled B2B Digital Content Strategist to write digital material, plan and manage content, and execute marketing programs which support aggressive growth goals. We are looking for a creative B2B marketing professional with cutting-edge and practical knowledge in areas including content creation, the buyer’s journey, customer segmentation, eye for design, and the voice of the customer. 

The Content Strategist will be responsible for ensuring all assets across all outbound marketing programs and campaigns are on brand and message. This individual will be responsible for creating content that converts, management of look, feel, and voice of digital campaigns, and providing the creative spark and strategic insight.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Write/Copy-edit high-level content for programs and initiatives including emails, landing pages, social, etc
  • Contribute to revenue goals by successfully executing assigned projects and data-driven marketing initiatives that activate, inspire, convert, and delight
  • Own our content calendar and cultivate target-specific content strategies based on the product, use case, segment, and region
  • Revamp/build out buyer personas for various verticals and plan/map content for buyer’s journey
  • Work and coordinate cross-functionally with Alliances, OEM, channel, demand gen, events, and regional marketing team on assets and programs
  • Monitor industry trends for resonant content and subject matter
  • Work closely with global demand gen manager to grow pipeline and drive demand generation through email nurture, syndication, ABM, digital campaigns, paid search, and more
  • Work closely with the creative director to update the visual style and generate creative campaigns across multiple touchpoints and channels that convert
  • Orchestrate teamwork between product marketing, alliances, outside writers, creative director, and other team members to develop content with an eye/ear for consistency of tone and style
  • Own corporate social media outreach and blog calendar and management with a focus on increasing internal traction and external engagement
  • Drive decisions based on data and insight (e.g. brand engagement metrics, the share of voice, sentiment, demand gen metrics, customer wins, etc)
  • Develop and communicate timelines, daily milestones, next steps, and status to team members to ensure on-time delivery of all milestones and revise timelines as needed to meet changing requirements

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of digital writing and content strategy experience in a high growth, B2B company
  • Possess strong expertise with short-form writing and copy-editing with a focus on converting (e.g., compelling/engaging campaign messaging, web copy, email, SEO, SEM, social, blogs, top 10 papers, etc) – we want to see examples and metrics on how they converted
  • Must be a persuasive writer who does not just relay facts, but can creatively express them to the prospect and elicit quality engagement
  • Ability to motivate and tactfully push others to ensure deliverables are completed on time and budget
  • Strong work ethic and pro-active self-starter, you see a problem and work to find a solution, without being asked, and if you are asked, it only needs to be once, and you will find the most creative, effective way to accomplish it and follow through to completion
  • Creative, Inventive, Inspired
  • Proven ability to conduct research and distill relevant insights into information pieces of written and visual content
  • Proven success with social media channels, how to write for the different channels, engage the audience, grow the followers, and grab attention
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and rates #1 at follow-up and follow-through
  • Pride yourself on your ability to juggle tasks and not let anything fall through the cracks

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism or equivalent experience
  • Advertising agency experience a plus
  • Startup experience preferred
