Network Security Engineer at Venafi

How you’ll be protecting the world:

As a Network Security Engineer at Venafi you’ll be part of an extremely motivated, dedicated, and experienced team that protects many of the largest organizations in the world.

  • Responsible for the operation, administration, and maintenance of Venafi WLAN, LAN and WAN resources
  • Must be able to thrive in a team environment
  • Author network documents and train support team on network technologies
  • Solid verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems efficiently
  • Respond to network outages and perform deep root cause analysis
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues
  • Execute timely resolution for network and end-user reported issues
  • Support for network deployment and maintenance projects
  • Possible travel required to support field offices or company meetings
  • Ability to work after hours to support projects and maintenance activities

The ideal Venafi Warrior will be armed with:

  • Palo Alto Networks Firewall Experience Required
  • Cisco Switching and routing experience Required
  • Cisco Identity Service Engine (Cisco ISE)
  • Wireless Networking
  • 5+ years Network Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of the OSI model and how data packets move in the network to troubleshoot VLAN’s, and other various network diagnosis needs

What sets you apart?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field preferred 
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • CCNA or equivalent required; CCNP or other certifications are desired
