Sales Development Representative at Synack

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will be at the front of Synack’s go-to-market strategy. This includes hunting for leads, mapping enterprise accounts, and building demand for Synack’s value proposition. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop security software sales skills and to advance their careers. Successful SDRs earn accelerated commissions and head down the path for promotion into closing roles or management roles. You will work closely with top-tier executives and will see up close how sales organizations succeed. This position is based in our Redwood City HQ location.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Generate new business opportunities from a targeted list of potential Synack partners
  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop accounts to drive opportunity
  • Experience with mid-high volume cold calling
  • Respond to inbound interest and qualify fit for the Synack platform through discovery calls
  • Work with Product and Marketing teams to convey feedback on prospect requirements and drive product strategy
  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using Salesforce
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competition
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A team-player attitude with a strong desire to help improve internal processes beyond your day-to-day tasks

In your first week you will:

    • Complete New Hire Training
    • Attend a variety of different onboarding sessions, where you'll: receive a thorough introduction to our leadership team, be immersed in our product offerings and meet our CEO, Jay Kaplan, in a "Synack 101" class
    • Meet your team and be introduced to your Synack New Hire Buddy
    • Shadow cold-calls, product demos, etc.
    • ...and so much more!

 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 1 year plus of experience as an SDR
  • Intelligence, Integrity, and Intensity
  • High level of interest in the security space
  • Excitement around growing a software sales career
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, customer facing environment
  • Previous cold calling experience
  • Motivated to be in a goal-oriented, quota-carrying role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, High EQ, IQ and business acumen
