Security Program Manager, Federal at Synack

You will lead day-to-day client success activities from the initial stages of onboarding to continued engagement and retention for one assigned federal government client.  As the client's point person, you will capture needs, perform technical scoping, and follow through with internal support teams to successfully execute. You will need networking acumen and the technical ability to identify and articulate how and where our solution can enhance the client's overall strategic business goals. In addition to setting the foundation of a strong technical partnership between Synack and the client, you will field questions related to vulnerability discovery, management and remediation, Synack’s technology and processes, and the integration of a U.S. Government Entity into Synack’s existing workflows.

Here’s what you’ll do

  • You will be responsible for developing superb U.S Federal government relations at every level of the organization, developing a trusted partnership with the client and internal stakeholders
  • Implement project plans and maintain the schedule of penetration testing
  • Perform technical scoping of each project to ensure it aligns with defined project plans and track milestones required for execution
    • Understand the digital attack surface and value at risk
    • Perform black and gray box surveys of applications and networks
    • Document and report survey findings with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and consistently evaluate efficient customer internal processes within federal customer framework to support enterprise success
  • Ensure excellent client account health by staying on top of client asks and communicating these requests in a timely manner to relevant internal teams
  • Be open to real-time, constructive feedback in a high energy and evolving environment
  • Update Sales CRM with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Provide regular analysis of customer cases, trends and other key metrics to both internal and external stakeholders

Here's what you'll need

  • 4+ years of Security Management experience with U.S. Federal Government clients
  • Basic knowledge and experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Basic SQL)
  • Networking and Customer Success experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with vulnerability management, risk management frameworks and associated business workflows, penetration testing methodologies, tools and legal requirements preferred
  • At least one industry certification preferred: Network+, Security+, CISA, or CISSP
  • A strong bias for action -- a problem solver with leadership skills
  • Impeccable follow through skills -- you have a pulse on customer needs and can set expectations on delivery and next steps
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
