Software Test Engineer at Prophesee

We are looking for a passionate individual who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership, respects commitments, and exhibits a high level of conviction and spirit of openness. The ideal candidate has strong SW programming and scripting skills and would become a SW engineer that develops, expands and maintains the SW validation framework for the SW teams. You will be involved in the testing of the algorithms, processing pipelines and user interfaces exploiting our innovative vision sensors and camera products and you will take responsibility to standardize and automate test methodologies for event-based SW products. In general, your developments will also lay the foundation for the environment and the methodology in which the company’s future SW products get evaluated and validated.

  • Run validation procedures for our existing and future software products and ensure we deliver the best quality algorithms, processing pipelines and user interfaces to our customers
  • Develop validation automation routines and architect the software framework managing and running these routines and logging their results
  • Define SW and scripting coding guidelines, development rules and methodologies and ensure it gets deployed across your co-developers and framework users
  • Work in close collaboration with the algorithm, sensor and product teams to integrate internal and external requirements


  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Experience of specifying software validation plans
  • Experience in automating tests for algorithms, processing pipelines and user interfaces involving live sensors or recordings
  • Deep knowledge of Python
  • Skilled communicator – need to interact with multiple teams


  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows bash scripts
  • Developer experience on Linux and Windows platforms
  • Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks for software validation
  • Familiarity with C++ and Qt

Personal skillsMust be rigorous and have a strong attention to details. Strong problem solving skills and passionate about engineering and software automation. Must work on a cross-functional level with other engineers in a team environment. Must be pragmatic and self-motivated to complete a task autonomously, showing a “Can Do” attitude.
