 How you’ll be protecting the world:

As a Finance Intern at Venafi you’ll be part of an extremely motivated, dedicated, and experienced Finance team that fuels the products that protect many of the largest organizations in the world.  You will own developing financial models, improving processes, and updating existing models that help drive insights and data-driven decisions. This is a great opportunity to leverage your finance and accounting, making a significant contribution to Venafi’s continued growth.

NOTE: This is not a summer internship but a 12 month internship that can be 10 to 25 hours per week.

As a Finance Intern, you will:

  • Apply creative problem-solving skills to business questions; Deliver analytically rigorous insights to support investment direction and prioritization.
  • Design and build financial models (primarily in Excel with data pulled from multiple systems) to support business decisions, including historical data and projected results based on assessment of trends.  Structure and extract data to support models. 
  • Clearly communicate actionable insights from objective analysis and make recommendations for key business decisions.
  • Monitor and analyze trends of key operational and financial performance indicators, test hypothesis, seek to discover new insights
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology/systems to automate manual reporting and compilation processes 
  • Act as system administrator for Adaptive Planning, managing access, permissions, configurations, customizations, workflows, saved searches and reports, and the review of new releases
  • Own other critical projects as needed

 The ideal Venafi Warrior will be armed with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting or related experience
  • Pursuing an MBA or Masters in Finance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to think strategically and creatively, apply business acumen and exercise judgment
  • Software as a Service (SAAS) and/or subscription industry experience/strong familiarity
  • Excellent financial/business modeling skills.  Love of Excel.  Demonstrated ability to create, navigate and explain complex models.
  • Proven track record of achievement, self-motivation, initiative and integrity
  • Intellectual curiosity with a continuous thirst to understand the whys, and initiate new insightful conversations
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Advanced Excel, Adaptive, Salesforce, Aviso, PowerPoint, and/or similar systems skills
  • Good communicator, team player, passion to improve current processes, and an upbeat disposition
  • Attention to detail, desire and ability to learn, self-motivation, and prioritization skills
