Work like you mean it

As a Manager of Software Development at Xevo, you are a hands-on experienced engineer responsible for the design and development of software components for Xevo’s products, as well as leading and managing a team of 4 to 8 software developers. Analyze and resolve software development issues and needs in terms of the software’s full life cycle.  Develop and implement business plans for software development.  Collaborate with other departments to prioritize software development needs. 

So, do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or closely-related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3+ years of effective leadership experience in formal individual, team or process performance management.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing and shipping software products, scalable internet software, and applications using a range of software models including object-oriented and functional design patterns
  • Infotainment applications development with a variety of OEMs using UJML.
  • Managing software projects, including managing direct reports to invent, design and build software that is stable and performant.
  • Participating in the code review process, design discussions, and team planning.
  • Object-oriented programming.
  • Writing code with JAVA, UJML, C++, .NET.
  • Automotive domain experience
  • The following languages: UJML, C++, Java, .NET, VC++, C#, VB.NET
  • Perforce, GIT, Subversion, Visual Studio, Eclipse.
