Senior Researcher at Medical Informatics

We are

Medical Informatics Corp. (MIC), a team driven to compassionate action. MIC aims to save lives by improving how patients are monitored. Our software, Sickbay, manages one of the largest physiologic data sets in the world. 


The MIC Research Department is looking for a Senior Researcher to help build, validate, and operationalize algorithms and signal transformations that provide clinicians with the predictive insights they need to care for patients better.

A tinkerer. You love to learn and build. You ask and answer questions with enthusiasm. You play well with others.


You have the following qualifications:

  • PhD in physics, computer science, or engineering
  • Great programming skills, knowledge of Matlab, Python, C, Scala, and git
  • Projects analyzing time-series data
  • Publication record that demonstrates interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Able to explain complex ideas to general audiences
  • Able to collaborate meaningfully across domains

Your mission 

Create and validate new prediction algorithms from time-series data. Turn validated algorithms into production-ready software. Develop and maintain research tools that are currently used in institutions across the US to derive insight from a unique data set. Eventually, scope projects and collaborate with clinical research partners.
