Two Bit Circus opened a micro-amusement park in DTLA!

What is a micro-amusement park, you ask? A 50,000 ft² venue in the Arts District featuring re-imagined midway and arcade games, interactive story rooms, re-imagined carnival food, mastered mixology, a robot bartender, and so much more (that we can’t post here)!


Job Summary:

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for food preparation and/or assist with food preparation as applicable, keep supplies and foodstuffs ready and keep equipment operating.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to accept the most effective role;
  • Food preparation assistance by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding vegetables and fruits; cleaning, cutting poultry and seafood;
  • Prepares all foods according to recipes, tasting and adjusting flavor, controls recipes by weighing and measuring designated ingredients;
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by cleaning work areas, equipment and utensils; segregating and removing garbage; hosing garbage containers; following sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations;
  • Keeps supplies and foodstuffs ready by inventorying stock, requisitioning supplies and foodstuffs, verifying receipt, and storage of food supply;
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs, as needed.



Position is based in Los Angeles

  • 1-3 years of experience in food preparation;
  • Willing to train those with a great attitude and eager to learn!;
  • Works collaboratively to achieve team goals;
  • Dedicated to exceeding quality standards and providing products and services of the highest caliber, excellent multi-tasking skills;
  • Thorough understanding of sanitation-related issues.  Takes all precautions and preventative measures necessary to ensure a clean food preparation environment;
  • Education: High school diploma required, culinary degree preferred; Willingness to work towards a culinary degree;
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance;
  • This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work;
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test prior to employment;


Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to lift up to 30 lbs;
  • Continually required to stand for long period of time;
  • Continually required to walk, bend and stoop;
  • Continually requires working taste buds, ability to smell, feel with fingers and visually inspect, including close and distance vision;
  • Continually requires the ability to use arms, hands and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, decorate, etc.
