HR Generalist  – Santa Clara

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the on-boarding of new hires and conduct new hire orientation
  • Manage the employee off-boarding process, communication with employees, exit interviews and exit documents 
  • With guidance from Sr. HRBP, serve as the "go-to" person for HR related questions
  • Draft/update employee handbook and other HR-related policies and procedure documents
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, scheduling interviews , conducting reference and background checks and issuing offer letters.
  • Provide additional oversight of our benefits program, including open enrollment, new hire benefits education, online benefits administration, compliance and audits
  • Manage vacation, leave of absence, and accommodations practices in accordance with federal, state, and local policies
  • Work with third party vendors to manage Payroll and Benefits services for our US and international employees and contractors
  • Work with Sr. HRBP,  external immigration attorneys, employees and managers on immigration cases
  • Partner with the Sr. HRBP and management to drive our culture forward and solidify our core values in everything we do
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying up to date on existing and new legislation while enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
  • Work with the Sr. HRBP  to address and manage employee relations issues fairly, thoroughly, and proactively
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed


Required Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in an HR generalist capacity
  • Excellent knowledge of  California employment legislation and regulations
  • Ability to facilitate and maintain positive relationships with cross-functional teams as well as leadership
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism and ethical standards
  • Strong attention to detail and insistence on accuracy
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of Jobvite (preferred) or similar ATS 
  • Solid understanding of ADP Workforce Now (preferred) or similar HRIS  
  • Solid computer literacy with capability in Google Suite and related HR software.
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Sign or similar electronic signature platform 
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field or equivalent
