Software Engineer- Critical Problem Resolution Engineer at Venafi

How you’ll be protecting the world:

We love our customers and we need people who want to make our software better for our customers by resolving issues reported by Venafi's customers through Customer Support as well as creating tools for use by Customer Support. 

We’re looking for a Critical Problem Resolution (CPR) Engineer to lead the effort in resolving customer issues with Venafi Products. You have a keen eye for issues and anomalies, attention to detail, desire to know the root cause of a reported issue and great communication to notify the rest of the team on your findings. Enjoy moments of solitude and times of collaboration with other Engineers to ensure customer success with Venafi products. Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Work with Customer Support Engineers in identifying, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for Venafi’s customers.


Collaborate within a team to develop, manage and execute on the overall project plan and timelines for key deliverables. Be part of an elite team that has received awards for best encryption, cool tools, innovation, and security. We are looking for a self-starting fast learner with ideas! You’ll be encouraged to contribute your experience and ideas the team loves to brainstorm new ideas and new ways of delivering content to our customers. 

Key Result Areas:

  • Utilizes a keen eye for issues and anomalies, attention to detail, desire to know the root cause of a reported issue, and great communication to notify the rest of the team on findings
  • Enjoys moments of solitude and times of collaboration with other Engineers to ensure customer success with Venafi products
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Work with Customer Support Engineers in identifying, troubleshooting, and providing solutions for Venafi’s customers
  • Collaborate within a team to develop, manage and execute on the overall project plan and timelines for key deliverables

The ideal Venafi Warrior will be armed with:

  • 3 years of experience programming and debugging experience in the following technologies: 
    • C#
    • .NET (ASP.NET)
    • JavaScript
    • Visual Studio 2017
    • MSSQL databases
    • Windows platform
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related experience
  • The ability to write clean, consistent, well documented code following best practices of Venafi
  • Develop software on schedule, adhering to department standards and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Programming and debugging experience in the following technologies: C#, JavaScript
  • Ability to change development context based on team and customer priorities
