Director of HR at Helpshift

The Director of HR is responsible for the People Operations/Culture, drive Recruitment efforts, ensuring cultural consistency as the company grows.  He/she coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs, reports to the VP of of People + Places, assisting and advising team members/managers on Human Resources issues.

Responsibilites

    • Define and implement best practices for people operations at Helpshift
    • Working with HR team to look at various functions like performance management, appraisals, employee engagement, onboarding, HR processes, legal etc.
    • Understanding of technology functions in a corporate setup preferred.
    • Work closely with business leaders, understand their challenges and empower them to drive their functions with maximum efficiency
    • Create a learning & development framework for the company
    • Mentor, motivate and drive the team
    • Be the guardian of our culture - understand the culture and implement methods to reinforce and propagate the culture within the company
    • Have worked in a fast-paced startup environment, have empathy towards people, have oodles of passion, drive, and energy to match that of the team!
    • Possess the ability to influence people and be focused towards employee satisfaction.
    • Be a people person and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of business, be able to lead teams. 
    • Build new approaches/programs to continually improve “Helpshifts’’ People Operations, employee experience, and administrative efficiency
    • Advise VP of People + Places and VP of Engineering on employee issues, creation of new employee programs, organizational development
    • Work with VP of People + Places to translate company vision/culture to employees, including developing/fostering evolution of company culture.

Requirments

    • 10+ years Business Partner/HR Generalist experience in roles of progressively increasing scope. You don't need deep experience in all the areas listed above, but you must have strong employee relations and exposure to professional development initiatives, performance and talent management processes, learning/OD, manager training, D&I and culture building
    • Comfortable with in depth executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
