Advisory and Enablement Services at Element AI: 

The Advisory and Enablement Services team at Element AI works collaboratively as trusted advisors to support clients throughout their journey to deploying AI that creates value, responsibly, at enterprise scale.  We offer a suite of services: from building a roadmap of priority AI use cases, to assessing technical feasibility of these use case and improving data readiness, to designing and developing AI-first data & technology strategies.  In order to deliver world-class experiences and insights to our clients, we are building a multidisciplinary group with alumni from leading technology firms, and top-tier management, design, technical, and innovation consultancies. The role:

As a Machine Learning DevOps Consultant, you will help advise enterprise clients on how to design and troubleshoot HPC clusters, build upon cloud-based services, and develop deployment procedures for client products and services that leverage advanced AI techniques. You will provide the in-depth technical expertise needed to make Data & Technology Advisory projects successful and ensure all of Element AI’s recommendations are grounded in industry best practices and the science of applied AI. You will also stay in touch with Element’s internal teams to make sure you know our capabilities and stay up to date on advances that may open up new and innovative approaches to enabling enterprise data management, architecture around development and production systems and model management practices for AI at scale. To be successful, we expect candidates to have a rare combination of technical depth and excitement about working with clients to solve technical problems. 

What you'll do:

  • Understand the client’s overall business objectives and work with their HPC system engineers to provide in-depth understanding in the roadblocks/bottlenecks/speedups found in the top level software stacks, that can be fixed or improved on through changes/upgrades in design of HPC data centers, and local development environments;
  • Provide architectural recommendations for system design to improve scalability, reliability, and adaptability of cloud and HPC infrastructure;
  • Work with multiple teams within a client’s environment to help translate user-level and infrastructure software stack requirements and provide recommendations on system design and development; 

What we're looking for:

  • An advanced technical degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent work experience;
  • +5 years of experience working with enterprise-grade system and application performance measurement and troubleshooting tools;
  • +5 years of experience with operations, revision control, and continuous integration tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, etc.);
  • +5 years of experience with modern web infrastructure technologies, containers and container-orchestration system (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, etc.) and distribution configuration software;
  • +5 years of experience in data center management and high availability setups;
  • Strong Linux administration skills;
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and +2 years experience deploying ML models in varied environments (e.g. on premise, cloud, embedded devices);
  • +2 years of experience operating and improving ML models in production environments;
  • Experience with ML model and data version control systems;
  • Experience with Python/Go/Bash;
  • An up-to-date view on the latest industry trends and the ability to articulate these trends and their potential clearly and confidently
