Corporate FP&A Manager at Aeye

AEye develops advanced vision hardware, software and algorithms that act as the eyes and visual cortex of autonomous vehicles. Since its demonstration of its solid state LiDAR scanner in 2013, AEye has pioneered breakthroughs in intelligent sensing. The company is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and backed by world-renowned investors such as Kleiner Perkins, Intel, Airbus, Subaru, LG Electronics, Hella, and more.

AEye is looking for a highly motivated Corporate FP&A Manager. The individual will be expected to help manage financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis. The financial manager will work closely with the CFO and Controller  as well as other senior managers to make better decisions. This role will provide a unique opportunity to be involved with every aspect of the business and provide routine access to executive management.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Use financial analysis and business knowledge to identify financial issues and opportunities to optimize results and to drive/influence management decisions.
  • Own the development, preparation and distribution of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management.
  • Build and maintain effective business partnerships within and across organizations.
  • Develop and improve upon financial planning processes ensuring transparency of planning assumptions and actual performance to the functional areas.
  • Prepare variance analysis to identify and explain variances to budget.
  • Responsible for the development and administration of the corporate planning tool and dashboard.
  • Perform ad hoc modeling and analysis.
  • Respond to spending inquiries from budget owners.
  • Participate in M&A activities.
  • Update and track key operating indicators.
  • Engage in Investor Relations activities and communications.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

Essential Skills & Experience Requirements (required):

  • Degree in Finance or related equivalent.
  • Experience in automotive / tier 1 manufacturing.
  • 7+ years experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience (useful):

  • Experience in a fast-paced and demanding start-up environment.
