Manager, Market Development - Market Penetration - Strategic Sales at Fortanix

DESCRIPTION

Background:

Fortanix is creating a new data protection category -- securing applications as they run, with hardware-level encryption. Fortanix's Runtime Encryption platform can run anywhere and provide complete assurance to the customer that even if the applications run on untrusted environments (e.g. public clouds), even if the hardware or OS are compromised, or that a malicious user obtains root access to the machine where the applications run, they remain out of touch and completely secure, along with the data they process.

Fortanix enjoys significant traction, and is backed by Intel Capital, Foundation Capital and NoeTribe Ventures. Among our customers and partners are Intel, Google, IBM and Equinix.

The right stuff: A driving force who will help build and grow our business

We are looking for an entrepreneurial go-to-market person, who will help with the market penetration and generation of early revenues for our revolutionary technology. This role requires acute entrepreneurial skill set, experience and attitude.

You will be required to be a self-starter, focus on the market segments assigned to you, build market and customer traction from the start and follow through until the customers have been won.

Runtime Encryption is a highly technical selling. You will need to be intimately and deeply familiar with the product, and to pitch it passionately.

You will be assisted by the team at all times, but will need to hit the ground running, learn fast and change fast, as needed.

The customers you will target are large enterprises (e.g. financial services, retail, manufacturing), cloud and service providers.

You will enjoy significant independence, with the responsibility and accountability that come with it.

The job requires effective evangelism.

At Fortanix we innovate not only by developing disruptive technology and products, but also by defying the old-school go-to-market practices. You will be required to help create disruptive and innovative go-to-market strategies and practices, and execute them.

REQUIREMENTS

The right experience: Demonstrated entrepreneurial experience

  • 5+ years of experience strategic sales (Global2000, senior decision makers)
  • Deep experience in enterprise and cloud security. Experience in data protection and data encryption is a plus
  • Strong hunter with demonstrated ability to open doors, create opportunities and lead the opportunities to closure
  • Strong team player, with ability to collaborate cross-departmentally with product, engineering, sales and marketing, yet with ability to drive alone as needed
  • Strong work ethic, positive not-taking-no-for-an-answer attitude, and adaptive to rapidly-changing environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on persuasion & influence
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
