Director, Technical Service Operations at Carbon Black

Reporting to the Regional VP Sales and VP of TSO, the Director, Technical Service Operations will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Sales Engineers, Technical Consultants, and Partner Solutions Managers in the region, and communicating key performance indicators to the leadership. 

As part of a sales team, the Director, Technical Service Operations works closely with sales, marketing, product management, channel, and support to pursue leads, demonstrate product capability, inspire confidence, ensure customer adoption  of solutions and satisfaction, and effectively communicate the power of Carbon Black solutions:


·        Provide leadership and management to the Technical Pre and Post Sales teams across the region (APJ)

·        Building a high growth organization with sales to drive CB acceleration

·        Help drive our partner enablement to increase mindshare and CB coverage

·        Lead and align company resources and teams

·        Implement best practices develop the SE/Technical domain throughout APJ

·        Build a sustainable culture that promotes team work and helping each other succeed

·        Recruit and grow the team of talented individuals

·        Participate in different events such as user groups and conferences

·        Know our products, the benefits they offer and how we fit in the security ecosystem

·        Accurately forecast and capture details in internal systems and reporting

·        Operate with the highest ethical standards

·        Make decisions based upon the following interests: 1) Customer 2) Company 3) Self

 What You’ll Do

·        Lead and manage the SE, Technical delivery, and Partner Solution Manager teams

·        Interviewing, hiring, training, and the professional development of Sales Engineers in the region.

·        Provide oversight of all technical sales in their region, includes ensuring proper delivery of demonstrations and evaluations along the model developed by sales leadership. Oversight also includes ensuring prompt and accurate maintenance of installation and opportunity records in SalesForce.

·        Provide technical and sales assistance to Sales Engineers in the region.

·        Provide scheduling assistance to sales representatives in the region.

·        Ensuring customer satisfaction throughout lifecycle of acquisition, implementation, operations, renewals, and expansion

·        Coordinate sales engineering activity with regional channel development team.

 What You’ll Bring

Minimum 10 years’ experience in Sales Engineering with significant roots in endpoint security with managerial experience.

Accomplished at leading and managing a regional SE and Technical solutions team

A thought leader in security technology and the security market

Proven successful track record in winning competitive POCs.

Proven experience in coaching and developing employees

Knowledgeable on the implications to risk and governance

Excellent communicator, negotiator and presenter

Key attributes; High integrity, Trusted advisor, Team player; organized, responsive with an ability to make things happen.

Experience working for small/ medium sized organizations

Prepared to travel in APJ and the US as necessary

Located in Singapore
