Senior Compliance Specialist at Carbon Black

As part of this team you will be addressing and solving security/compliance issues and initiatives tied to many different compliance regulations and baselines such as PCI, HIPAA, NERC, SOX, NIST, CIS, etc. This individual will work closely with customers and prospects to help educate potential buyers and end-users on Carbon Black's value relating to regulatory and cyber security compliance validation and audit. The expectation is this person will be a subject matter expert at a corporate level, while supporting regional accounts within an assigned territory working as a domain expert with the sales teams and regional managers. The individual will work across the main regulatory compliance disciplines that are a priority in accelerating deals at the company and they will demonstrate how Carbon Black technology maps directly into these regulatory standards.  This is a multi-faceted role, which will include product evangelism to the sales team and associated customers, support of product qualification, demonstration, evaluation, and implementation, as well as delivery tied to customer success. The individual must have strong interpersonal/presentation skills to interface with enterprise customers and the knowledge/technical expertise, conviction, and confidence to effectively address those audiences as it relates to compliance.  This person will contribute to building credibility and will position Carbon Black as a player/differentiator in the compliance/regulatory assessment space.  25-50% travel necessary throughout assigned regions.

7+ years of Security Compliance experience with assessment, compliance audit, and security compliance validation experience.

Experience with endpoint security solutions, the security stack, modern next generation malware prevention technologies, and next generation security solutions and technologies.

PCI, HIPAA, NERC, SOX, Certification and or training and experience.

Knowledge of the Security Compliance Validation Assessment process and IT auditing or governance procedures associated with PCI, HIPAA, NERC CIP, SOX/GLBA, ISO 27001, and Data privacy mandates.

Experience with Windows, XP fixed function environment, Windows 7, 8, 10 2003/2008/2012 server environments, Mac iOS, Linux and supporting technologies/products

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows configuration and management

Knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructures and configuration

Knowledge of IT security technologies and best practices

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Salesforce reporting and data entry experience

Proficient with MS Office applications – Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Customer facing/security sales experience; hands-on software demonstration experience

Strong Competency in Security Process/Workflow (e.g. Threat and Vulnerability Management)

Solid understanding of professional services to enable software products

Knowledge of software deployment and patch management tools

Excellent technical and business skills, including project management knowledge

Excellent attitude and a self-starter who takes strong accountability for personal results

BS/BA or equivalent related to position


Desired Experience:


CISSP, CISA, PCIP, or other security and data security certifications
