We’re looking for a hands-on Controller with startup experience to take over select responsibilities from our virtual CFO as we scale the company. Your primary mission will be to implement and iterate a cost-effective financial process and controls, and manage the day-to-day accounting operations.

 

What you'll do:

· Ensure the accurate and timely completion of day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll activities

· Guarantee that monthly close, reporting, and forecasting rhythms are completed on time and accurately

· Maintain our partnerships with banks and financial institutions

· Discover and secure alternative sources of funding from provincial and federal government programs

· Build and lead a high-performing finance and administration team

· Oversee Human Resources administration

Requirements

What we’d like you to have:

· Bachelor of Commerce Degree and an accounting designation

· 5 or more years of experience managing accounting, finance, and administration

· Experience with scaling a startup

· Demonstrated leadership ability

· An innovative and passionate approach to your work

· Fluently bilingual in both French and English considered a strong asset

What does the interview process involve?

The first step of our selection process is a conversation with our recruitment partner where they will focus on the human side of things and answer any questions you may have. Assuming you exhibit a high potential to be successful in our environment during your initial conversation, we’ll invite you to have a technical conversation with some of our engineers and leadership. Assuming you’re one of our finalists, we’ll be sure to give you a tour of the office and introduce you to some of your future teammates.
