Work like you mean it

Xevo is looking for an Accountant with high attention to detail and excellent communication skills to assist in maintaining general ledgers, procurement, expense reimbursement, and preparing monthly financial statements along with various monthly analysis on a timely basis. In this role, you’ll also be monitoring systems for compliance with procedures and make revisions as necessary, identify and resolve discrepancies, work with internal teams and business partners to achieve company goals while assisting in their compliance with company policies and procedures. May also be involved with miscellaneous financial reporting projects.

Your mission (should you choose to accept it.)

• Contribute to monthly general ledger closing process through preparation of journal entries and account analysis.
• Prepare monthly reconciliation for assigned accounts including research, preparing any correcting entries for approval, and posting.
• Performing daily accounting tasks, including assisting with banking transactions, GL coding of invoices, managing corporate credit cards and expenses reports, and assisting with the review of weekly check runs.
• Prepare timely and accurate departmental reports, including analysis of monthly expenses.
• Support various accounting initiatives, including new system implementations and enhancements.
• Assist in year-end close activities by providing information for the external auditors and performing other year-end financial reporting duties as assigned.
• Support internal audits and SOX by providing source documentation and other information as requested.
• Work with the finance team and other Corporate departments during the annual budgeting process.
• Identify opportunities for process and procedure improvements and work with accounting team and management to implement.
• Other special projects as assigned.

So, do you have what it takes?

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting.
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience
• Preferred Professional certification [e.g. CPA, CMA] desired 
• Strong excel skills 
• Ability to work well independently, but is also able to be an integral member of a larger team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
