Regional Partner Managers develop, service, and grow relationships with channel partners. This role includes developing sales strategies, negotiating with partners and training and developing the partner and Regional sales team.

Regional Partner Managers are responsible for the partners within their region and manage them as a sales manager would manage their team. The role reports to the VP of Channel Sales and is closely aligned with the Regional Sales leadership.

 Regional Partner Manager Duties and Responsibilities

Regional Partner Managers are responsible for building successful and lucrative relationships with the Vectra ecosystem of partners. They wear many hats, bringing partners through the lifecycle of management from recruiting to on-boarding to enabling them for success.

Monthly Sales Quota for Territory

As with any type of Sales Manager, the Regional Partner Manager’s most important responsibility involves hitting their monthly goals. Regional Partner Managers, along with the senior management team, are responsible for developing the strategy to hit sales goals.

Continuously Train Sales Team on Company Offerings

Since Regional Partner Managers are part of the management team, part of their job involves training channel partners and their staff. This involves implementing a company standard training process. Given the ever-changing nature of sales and marketing campaigns, this training happens continuously.

Manage Relationships With Channel Partners

Regional Partner Managers are the key point of contact between Vectra and channel partners. Performing this duty takes excellent customer service skills, and also involves negotiating contracts.

Monitor Sales and Operational Results Based on KPIs

Regional Partner Managers need to constantly monitor the health of their campaigns by keeping an eye on the Key Performance Indicators set by the Company. This includes managing KPI data in SFDC and presenting them to senior management on a quarterly basis.

Represent Company at Industry Trade Shows

Since Regional Partner Managers typically work in a business-to-business environment, trade shows are a big part of the strategy of prospecting for new customers. This involves creating promotional materials, as well as setting up and taking down a company booth. It also involves pitching company offerings to prospective partners and conducting demos and technical overviews of the solutions.

 Regional Partner Manager Skills

Excellent communication skills, and existing partner relationships required. Regional Partner Managers must be innovative in their quest to help their channel partners effectively sell their product. In addition to these skills and personality traits, Vectra is looking for Regional Partner Manager candidates with the following skills and abilities:

  • Crafting and implementing channel sales strategies to meet monthly sales quota
  • Developing and maintaining partner and prospective partner relationships through the use of Salesforce CRM and Impartner software
  • Negotiating contracts and growth plans with current and prospective channel partners
  • Ability to use leadership and sales acumen to train and develop sales staff
  • Ability to use analytical skills to analyze Key Performance Indicators to determine the health of a channel partner relationship.

Required Skills

  • BA degree required; preferred engineering, sciences, math, or finance.
  • 3 to 5+ years of experience with data analytics, critical thinking and decision making.
  • Excellent in-person presentation skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM, data management, data measurements, and/or statistical analysis is a plus.
  • Strong customer service focus, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong desire to build something new and persevere in the face of uncertainty.
