Product Manager - Operations at Bossa Nova Robotics

At Bossa Nova we create service robots for the global retail industry. We’ve been hard at work to solve some of the biggest challenges for the world's largest retailers. Our robots’ mission is to make large-scale stores run efficiently by automating the collection and analysis of on-shelf inventory data. We collect terabytes of data that retailers use to increase on-shelf availability and improve the shopping experience.

We drive autonomously through aisles, navigating safely among customers and store associates. If we were a self-driving car we’d be operating at level 5 autonomy. Oh, we should add, it’s real, happening today, you can meet our robots in some of the world’s biggest retailers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Product Manager will report to the Director of Product Management and will be responsible for writing and organizing detailed product requirements that will feed into the product development process.

The successful candidate will be able to understand customer expectations; retail industry best practices; participate in developing the roadmap; drive requirements and ultimately partner with Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Sales teams to deliver the optimal customer experience. The Product Manager will be responsible for communicating within the cross-functional team and on behalf of the team to stakeholders and executives.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to create product requirements
  • Prioritize requirements for both existing and new products
  • Participate in the sales cycle as needed to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW
  • Lead and participate in planning meetings and provide advice and guidance on direction of products
  • Manage and serve as primary point of contact for cross-functional teams in design and engineering
  • Develop metrics to assess the success of products and features and determine necessary enhancements
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, and company offerings
  • Contribute to a strong product culture of continuous development and rapid test and learn

Work Experience and Job Skills:

  • 3+ years of product management or other relevant experience (preferably as a technical product manager)
  • Experience supporting SaaS and DaaS (data-as-a-service) products
  • Experience within the Retail industry a plus
  • Experience working directly with engineers and designers to develop and iterate on products
  • Ability to be creative, flexible, strategic, analytical; interest and willingness to solve complex problems
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with keen ability to explain complex concepts across the organization and to diverse audiences
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, positive attitude with great listening skills and high integrity
  • Strong writing and presentation skills


  • BS in Business or Engineering
  • MBA or Master's degree a plus
