Nexant Training -  Business Development

 

Summary of the position:

The purpose of the Training Business Development position is to promote attendance to Nexant’s public training courses globally and increase revenues accordingly.  The candidate has to be a creative self-starter and work independently. 

 

Reporting to: 

Vice President Nexant Training

 

Geography:

 

Based in the United States (preferably East Coast for time zone purposes

 

Contract:

Can be part-time or subcontracted based on commission

 

Objectives and activities:

 

  • Promote Nexant’s public training courses, supporting the sales effort and helping increase attendee numbers (we currently offer 12-15 courses per year in different parts of the world)

  • Focus initially in courses in the US and Europe, with potential into other regions later

  • Contact clients directly, identifying potential attendees and key decision makers (for training).  Document any possible leads to both public as well as in-house courses

  • Build a robust database of existing and potential contacts inside companies and various organisations and use this for various marketing campaigns (eg, eblasts, etc.)

  • Recommend additional marketing channels and media for advertising

  • Assist in growing Nexant’s client database

  • Ensure copyright and privacy requirements are followed according to the rules in each region

  • Cross-market Nexant Training’s promotion efforts with other areas within Nexant (eg, Products)

  • Promote the launch of the online training course and other future training offerings

  • Track the activities of the competition

    • Market Assessments: Analysis of supply, demand, and trade for all major products in the sector and many specialties, including market drivers and cost competitiveness.
