Director of Product at Avaamo
Los Altos, CA, US
We are looking for a candidate who has a strong enterprise background, who has razor-sharp instincts about what makes a great enterprise  product, and who has a passion for creating an industry-wide impact by driving projects from concept through implementation to successfully delivery.

Your responsibilities will be end-to-end, from understanding the evolving conversational AI landscape, interacting with customers, capturing customer requirements, managing long term roadmap and short term product releases, and ultimately taking responsibility for successfully being market aware and driving customer oriented requirements

  • Define and drive Avaamo’s product strategy  based on the conversational AI landscape,  competitive analysis, and customer needs
  • Lead product definition, requirements analysis, documentation of requirements, and product positioning
  • Work closely with leadership and development and design teams to develop and maintain a product roadmap
  • Validate product direction by interacting with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Produce product collateral and messaging, and partner with sales and marketing to accelerate go-to-market
  • Constantly evangelize the conversational ai vision, roadmap plans and product decisions to customers, partners and  stakeholders are aligned and have context
 
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field/Masters preferred
  • 9+ years of product experience in enterprise software and at least two evangelizing to global 1000 customers
  • Deep understanding of needs of enterprise buyers  and solid knowledge of conversational AI protocols, Machine learning, and Data Science
  •  Experience with Contact Center products, Voice products
  • Proven experience with the full lifecycle of product releases, from planning, gathering requirements, prioritization to working with development for building the product, and training sales
  • Amazing  communication skills to effectively evangelize the product and technology to both internal and external audiences
  • Strong analytical mindset and a data-driven approach for solving complex business problems
  • Collaboration and consensus building skills
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles such as journey mapping, persona identification, pain statements, user experience
  • Good grasp and understanding of business applications and their APIs, middleware, and integration
  • Background on machine learning and data mining with a broad understanding of unsupervised and supervised learning methods is a plus.
