The Position:

InContext Solutions is excited to begin the search for a Senior Manager of Client Development to support our retail clients. As a member of Client Development on the Retail Team, you will be the main point of contact for training, project management and day to day support for all US based retailer clients. You will work with our retailer clients as if you were a part of their company, exceeding expectations and consulting with users to make sure they achieve a positive ROI. You will be responsible for flawless Client user experience from kickoff to renewal and central to reducing client churn rate. In addition, you will be responsible for business development in growing the InContext Solutions relationship within existing accounts.


As a Senior Manager, Client Development, you ensure successful project delivery while managing the day to day relationships with all existing retailer clients.  Through the development and maintenance of account plans, you are responsible for creating internal client demand for InContext software services while demonstrating a positive ROI across all InContext projects.  In support of the Client Development executive owner, you will steward an ROI focused relationship with the ultimate goal of growing business development opportunities within existing clients.  This Senior Manager role should be ready to make their mark on the organization and shaping our client development function in the retail landscape.

About You:

  • Believes in doing whatever it takes to ensure our clients know that they are our #1 priority and that working with InContext is an enjoyable experience
  • Will be a thought leader on a growing team and help establish what it will look like for the foreseeable future
  • Is eager to ask “Why?” and to not accept “Because that’s what we’ve always done” as a good answer
  • 4-6 years of experience in client development, preferably in the CPG and retailer
  • Minimum of 2+ years working directly with retailers. Walmart experience is a plus.
  • Experience in major sales cycles and business development as a part of the client development role.
  • Can build relationships not only externally but also internally with cross-functional departments
  • Is detail oriented and able to manage many aspects of a project and multiple clients simultaneously
  • Has an extensive understanding of common business challenges faced by retailers, especially merchants, space planning, and marketing
  • Possesses a service-oriented background and experience training and supporting clients over an extended licensing life cycle
