Proposal Development Lead, Sales at Element AI

Roles and Responsibilities


As an RFP Development Lead, your role is to:

  • Develop and implement processes for a comprehensive RFP program including Kick-off Meetings, Bid/No Bid requirements, proposal tracking through all stages, and relevant proposal metrics to be captured
  • Implement and manage a repository of Q&A pairs for reuse across proposals for all industries, including regular audits to ensure the most current information is contained
  • Identify and clarify RFP requirements with relevant stakeholders, and enforce the proposal timelines with internal teams to ensure on time submission
  • Manage internal RFP Kick-off Meetings including Bid/No Bid requirements
  • Create and manage a timetable for delivery including managing responses from internal teams and ensuring on-time delivery of each submissionCreate an RFP tracker and maintain supporting documentation and databases
  • Analyze and prepare required data, including performance information
  • Provide comprehensive responses for each question, customizing as necessary to directly address the client’s needs and requirements
  • Prepare accurate, complete first drafts and polished final submissions that successfully move the firm to the next stage of the client’s selection process, ensuring consistency across the response and adherence to branding and style guidelines
  • Provide writing and proposal guidance to RFP contributors
  • Consistently re-evaluate standard RFP responses and identify new or updated content as needed
  • Conduct Win/Loss reviews on flagged opportunities to include interviews with customer stakeholders and internal company teams
  • Create and maintain industry specific pro-active proposal templates
  • Assist with the completion of industry surveys and consultant questionnaires
  • Perform writing and editing duties as required
  • Lead proposal training for the RFP process and best practices
  • Manage various client services related projects as they arise


On a daily basis, you will:


  • Support the sales and presales teams coordinating and responding to RFPs and RFIs from a wide range of prospective customers in different industries and countries.


We want you to join us because you have:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 or more years of experience working in the software industry on RFP responses
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APM) certification at the Proposal Practitioner Accreditation level
  • Demonstrated RFP writing experience, preferably with software companies
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated organizational capabilities
