Buyer / Planner at Savioke
San Jose, CA, US
Savioke designs, builds and manages a fleet of autonomous robots that are revolutionizing the way teams deliver small items. We are excited to be building robots that are doing useful work and are touching people’s lives on a daily basis.  Our robots have completed more than 500,000 deliveries, have driven hundreds of kilometers autonomously, and have delighted everyone who sees them.
As the Buyer/Planner at Savioke, you will be the primary point of contact between Savioke and the network of vendors responsible for supplying all of the parts that go into our robots. You will be working closely with our production and business teams to ensure that parts are available to meet the production schedule, and that part costs, lead times, and inventories are always kept in sync and are communicated clearly to all team members.  In addition to the immediate Savioke team, you’ll have direct access to work with and learn from our network of world-class supply chain and engineering advisers.
This job requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the persistence / follow through to ensure suppliers and others meet their commitments. You should have the curiosity and aptitude to learn about the electronic and mechanical components that make up a robotic system, as well as the processes and materials our vendors use to make and test them.  Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, since you will be communicating both internally with the entire Savioke team and externally with multiple vendors.
Within a startup, all job roles are fluid; you will be joining a team where we all pitch in to get the job done, and you can be creative in shaping how your career develops.
