At Bossa Nova we create service robots for the global retail industry. We’ve been hard at work to solve some of the biggest challenges for the world's largest retailers. Our robots’ mission is to make large-scale stores run efficiently by automating the collection and analysis of on-shelf inventory data. We collect terabytes of data that retailers use to increase on-shelf availability and improve the shopping experience.

We drive autonomously through aisles, navigating safely among customers and store associates. If we were a self-driving car we’d be operating at level 5 autonomy. Oh, we should add, it’s real, happening today, you can meet our robots in some of the world’s biggest retailers.

Job Title: Regional Service Technician

Location: Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX

Job Description

As a Regional Service Technician with Bossa Nova you will be tasked with ensuring the availability of our store robot’s to conduct daily operations.  You will ensure proper operation and report on events in the store. You will also perform demonstrations for leadership as necessary. Your responsibilities will also include traveling to stores in your area to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot and repair robots.  Logical troubleshooting experience will be critical in this role. You will need to have good people and analytical skills in order to quickly communicate both issues and insights with the Fleet Operations team. You must become familiar with the product, strategy, and customer's business in order to communicate this effectively. Must be willing to travel on a regular basis to observe and report back to the team on robot activities and perform required maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain best practices for data collection and analysis.
  • Attention to detail while following process, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on robots in your assigned area in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair, robots in your assigned area in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Influence streamlined processes that provide accurate insights into daily operations, robot performance, and reliability.
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with established policies, processes, and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years mechanical or electrical repair experience or equivalent
  • Experience with G-Suite, Microsoft office, SalesForce, and Linux command line
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds up to 4 feet high
  • The ability to work extended shifts as required while spending 60-75% of the workday walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and using hand tools.
