BrightEdge is looking for a Marketing Analyst Intern to join our R&D team.  The ideal candidate will be passionate about leveraging data and analytics along with iterative testing to drive success to marketing organizations.  The successful candidate thrives in a fast paced, data-driven environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats.
This is a role that will work with the Director of Product Management to test efficacy of SEO concepts and methodologies to help us isolate how best to drive performance to our customers.

Core Responsibilities

    • Interact with some of the best digital marketing professionals, and learn the job functions and backgrounds of various colleagues and job roles
    • A/B testing: Measure, monitor, and improve real SEO concepts on brand name websites that millions of people engage with daily
    • Run queries on databases and organize, analyze and interpret data to explain test results, trends, and anomalies
    • Maintain a customer-centric focus: strive to be a domain and product expert through data, and ensure that your team has access to data to make decisions
    • Conduct ad-hoc SEO tasks, data analysis, and reporting as requested

What It Takes To Be Successful

    • Working knowledge of SQL.  You should be able to write queries to answer most business questions
    • Familiarity with marketing funnel reporting and industry KPIs, such as website sessions, impressions, etc.
    • Data Fluency: you can use data to help someone understand their business performance
    • Analytical Toolkit : you can use different methods to analyze results, including time series analysis, experimental design, and data visualization
    • Nice to have: SEO experience and Python proficiency
    • Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning
    • Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
    • Willingness to roll up sleeves and get stuff done
    • Experience with email marketing such as Oracle Eloqua is a plus
