Inside Sales Lead (Belfast) at Chargifi

Chargifi is looking for an experienced Inside Sales leader selling B2B tech/SaaS, who can help us build a high performing inside sales team that will dramatically accelerate our capability in demand generation.

About Chargifi:

Chargifi is experiencing huge growth due to the market opportunity and demand for smart wireless charging and this is an ideal time to join. The majority of smart phones now have wireless charging inside and it won't be long before it is ubiquitous as Wi-Fi.

Wireless power is now doing for power what WiFi did for connectivity, cutting the final cord and enabling a truly mobile world. Chargifi delivers the market-leading cloud management platform that enables the mass deployment of wireless power. In a similar way to the multi-billion dollar success of enterprise WiFi platforms (Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus), Chargifi has built and patented a software platform that specialises in the management, monitoring and monetisation of wireless power.

We are backed by an incredible set of investors including Intel Capital, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Accelerated Digital Ventures, and firstminute.capital. Chargifi also announced a partnership with renowned brand Belkin at CES 2019 to make their wireless charging units smart. Most recently Chargifi announced some significant senior additions to the leadership team, most notably the appointment of Keerti Melkote - co-founder and president of Aruba networks, and the man who bought convenient Wi-Fi to the world - as Chairman of the Chargifi board.

Chargifi provides systems integrators and businesses (for example Marriott, MGM, Grand Hyatt, Hilton, BT, Amazon, and Imperial College London) with the tools that enable them to provide and deploy wireless charging (as a service) at scale. Chargifi SmartSpots are deployed in over 20 countries, with a global reach of distributors and resellers across NAM, EMEA and APAC.

Chargifi’s Vision - We are going to take this way beyond consumer electronics, the world is going electric and electric is going wireless. We will extend beyond consumer electronics into electric vehicles and industrial (drones/robots) making wireless charging connected and smart for better experiences.

Every global car maker has an active wireless charging programme. BMW and Mercedes have launched EVs that charge wirelessly and others are following..and smart wireless charging is a key requirement for autonomous vehicles.

As we prove success in the consumer electronics space we will then turn our focus on to building out new markets for EV’s and smart cities. This role will be pivotal in generating demand and market feedback to ensure our success in realising our vision.

Our Belfast Office recently opened to drive growth in Product Development/Research and Sales & Marketing Operations from Northern Ireland. This position will be based in Belfast, and will be tasked with creating opportunities with our core target audiences in Europe and the US.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Happy to be flexible with UK/US hours which could mean start later and finish later in the day to maximise targeting the US which is the current focus and has the biggest opportunities.

  • A self-starter, dynamic growth hacker by nature with determination and resilience to build the best team to lead the market.

  • Looking to grow a team in an exciting green field opportunity, where there is the opportunity to make a name for themselves and prove real grit and determination to define how things should be done. [To give an idea team may grow from 2-5 heads over 2 years, and beyond as we expand into different regions and into different sectors.]

On a weekly basis, you will:

  • The position includes a variety of tasks such as making phone calls, writing e-mails, using social media, and researching companies to generate interest with the potential to expand over time.

  • You must be comfortable making multiple calls/emails/LinkedIn messages per day leading to closing key stages in the Sales cycle, as well as managing a small growing team.

  • Meet with your team to develop and coach them, providing feedback, support and development plans.

  • Accurately forecast on a weekly and monthly cadence to meet and exceed quotas (Activity, Leads, SQLs)

  • Track sales team metrics and report data to Chargifi leadership on a regular basis

  • Lead weekly and monthly meetings with the sales team and leadership

  • Actively participate in the sales cycle to bring new accounts & new business onboard

  • Develop sales contests and incentives to drive performance

  • Manage day-to-day performance of sales execs and deliver reviews

Required qualifications:

  • 2+ years of management experience leading a B2B inside sales team effectively

  • 5+ years of direct sales experience

  • Experience in leading a tried and tested sales methodology/processes (i.e. Challenger Sale, Solution Sale, Inbound as a few examples)

  • Familiarity with managing the sale process in a CRM system

  • Excellent coaching skills; ability to observe, evaluate, and give meaningful feedback

  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience selling SaaS style solutions

  • BA or BSc degree

  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and other inside sales power tools

  • Understanding of Hospitality, Digital Workplace/Enterprise, Education, Large Public Venues, and/or Retail.

  • Existing relationships and a strong network in the B2B Tech industry selling into the above verticals
