Quality Control Engineer Associate at Aeye

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of   quality standards for the automotive industry on processes, materials, and products.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering and Customer Field Engineering teams to timely complete the inspections to approve Engineering samples certificates meeting and delivering Samples per requirements.
  • Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) as needed and First Article Inspections (FAI). 
  • Create instruction to work with engineering for component quality control or special testing, inspection, or experiments.
  • Complete inspections (visual, mechanical-dimensional and electrical).
  • Identify, document the Process CAPA into the CAR systems and communicate quality issues on the Production line.
  • Compiling quality control data assisting with Quality data analysis such as process capability studies and yield calculation.
  • Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility initiating non-conformance report if parts failed in inspections.
  • Assist root cause and failure analysis to generate quality improvement initiatives.
  • Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Support the Incoming QC on key components.
  • Be able to coordinate with across teams to address the quality issue for the improvement.
  • Document defects found during quality control processes, process audits and internal audits assisting in ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 internal audits and other related activities utilizing the CAR system.  
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
 
Essential Skill & Experience Requirements (required):
 
  • Minimum 2 years in the Quality Control function.
  • Familiar with Minitab or other statistical platforms.
  • Familiar with QC Audits for pilot manufacturing and production lines.
  • Entry level of doing data analysis utilizing Python scripts. 
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
 
Preferred Skills & Experience (useful):
 
  • Familiar with Calibration systems and Doc-Control systems.
  • Familiar with Continuous improvement in organizational processes.
  • Experience in a fast-paced and demanding start-up experience.
