Your Opportunity
Working as a Jr. DevOps Engineer you will help implement best practices into, and within a highly technical and evolving environment, which includes: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), immutable infrastructure, and a dedicated approach to organizational wide infrastructure and DevOps automation. As the Jr. DevOps Engineer you will be the primary support contact for all employee computer and network support issues for a variety of Operating Systems (MacOS, Windows, and Linux), in support of business growth and requirements.


    • Manage of software licenses
    • Setup and maintain all meeting room infrastructure (hardware and software)
    • Implement and enforce corporate security policies
    • Regularly review and flag network security issues                                                                
    • Lead and manage the corporate phone system
    • Inventory acquisition and management
    • Employee on-boarding and off-boarding in reference to technology and technical assets
    • Manage identity and access policies across multiple environments
    • Build and maintain infrastructure for R&D test environments
    • Install and network new equipment (switching, DNS, firewall, VLANs, etc.)
    • Capacity monitoring to meet future infrastructure needs
    • Add and remove equipment and users to/from Kubernetes clusters
    • Make high-value impacts on productivity throughout the software development lifecycle
    • Enhance and maintain DevOps-sponsored tools and infrastructure
    • Work on small feature teams as a DevOps consultant and/or contributor

Technical Competencies

    • 2+ years experience in an IT Support role
    • Technical curiosity and a desire to help others succeed
    • Software programming in any language (we primarily use Python and PHP)
    • VPN, LAN, and Wi-Fi-based networking support and troubleshooting
    • Experience with Firewall, router, switch, DNS configuration and management
    • Proven ability to manage multiple processes, priorities, and conflicting demands in a calm and professional manner
    • Strong team player that communicate clearly, concisely and by selecting written, spoken or visual material that best suits the situation and intended audience
    • Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational and customer service skills
    • Strong documentation abilities
    • Cloud provisioning experience (we use AWS and GCP)
    • Experience with continuous Integration platforms (we use CircleCI)
    • Experience with container technologies (we use Docker)
    • Experience with provisioning at scale (we use  Rancher)
    • Experience with deploying at scale (we use Kubernetes)
    • Monitoring experience (e.g., Elasticsearch, Cloudwatch, Prometheus)
