Your Opportunity
Working as a QA Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that every product release upholds the highest standards of quality. Your main goal is to break the application and take pride in doing so. You think outside the box, and use the application in ways most people wouldn’t think about, by finding unique edge-cases to test. You will work with other QA Analysts, but will lead and be responsible for your own product.

Responsibilities

    • Play an integral role in the test automation plan, a plan that would see us automate eighty percent of the QA testing within the application framework
    • Create and execute test plans
    • Employ the plan to assess functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems
    • Utilize the plan to hunt down and fix software bugs
    • Look for ways to prevent bugs from occurring in the first place
    • Help developers troubleshoot, identify and resolve technical problems    
    • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to guide the documentation of test casesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
    • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needsLiaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
    • Monitor debugging process results
    • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
    • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Technical Competencies

    • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or applicable certified training;
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role within software development or quality assurance with exceptional knowledge of Advanced QA methodologies and industry leading best practices;
    • Proficient with testing methodologies and test automation
    • Extensive knowledge and experience using bug tracking and team collaboration software such as Jira, Confluence, HPQC, etc;
    • Ability to write and execute test cases based off of requirements and use case documents;
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
    • Strong eye for detail and attention towards performance cross-platform/device;
    • Great interpersonal skills – you will be a part of large teams/projects on tight deadlines;
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment on multiple concurrent projects;
    • Customer-focused;
    • Experience in Agile methodologies;
    • Proficiency with business productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.;
    • Experience or exposure to sports, the sporting industry and/ or the healthcare industry would be considered an asset.
