Business Development Manager South-East Asia at Fortumo

Now we're looking for a Business Development Manager (SEA) to join us on our mission.

Your day to day:

Your main goal is to generate and maximise revenues by selling our services to different digital service providers active in the South-East Asian region. You will be targeting and onboarding new leads from the biggest regional digital and OTT merchants (e.g. music, video streaming, media, gaming providers), building, managing and owning the entire sales cycle but also exploring new areas and sectors attractive for carrier billing and partnerships. By doing that, you are shaping the success of our customers and directly impact establishing Fortumo as the leader in the carrier billing, user acquisition and retention field.

We need you to be able to build complex deals between merchants and telcos which requires often selling to both sides. You need be able to build and manage a sales pipeline, identify prospects, qualify new opportunities, proactively approach digital merchants and ensure active follow up. At Fortumo you will be working in close partnership with several areas of the business, including product development, marketing and engineering to identify commercial opportunities to deliver on set targets and objectives. We really want you to:

  • have previous B2B sales experience in managing the full sales cycle with a proven track record in incremental pipeline growth and revenue generation
  • have experience working with digital and OTT providers (work experience in carrier billing is a plus)
  • enjoy selling new, complex and tailored products
  • like traveling, planning and managing your own goals and time
  • be able to manage, control and influence longer and complex sales cycles and partners
  • be analytical in evaluating and estimating opportunities
  • understand the online and mobile market & be tech savvy by nature
  • take initiative, work independently and efficiently without close supervision
  • be able to support multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • be fluent in English and possibly Bahasa (additional language skills are a plus)
  • be targets driven and able to see the bigger picture
