Local Partnerships Manager – Ulaanbaatar at What3Words

As our what3words team in Mongolia grows, we need a Local Partnership Manager for the team based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and working to educate users, partners and companies about what3words.

 

About the role

This role will be based in Ulaanbaatar, and you will be part of a team of 10 people. Joining our growing business development team, you will drive forward and forge key relationships for what3words in the country. You will be responsible for managing new and existing relationships, ensuring that our partners are using what3words to its full potential; you will also be responsible for finding more ways in which what3words can be adopted into the day-to-day lives of Mongolians, doing targeted outbound sales to build strategic relationships with local businesses and organisations. You will be working in both urban and rural areas, therefore the ability to communicate effectively in English is a must.

Requirements

About you

You will have:

  • An incredibly sharp mind with the academic or work history to prove it
  • Impeccable spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – and be comfortable working with people at all levels, from start-up developers to CEOs of major corporations
  • Experience working in sales, marketing and public speaking
  • Incredibly good at dealing with solution-oriented progressive working styles

You will be:

  • Highly ambitious, commercially-minded and committed to global social change through business
  • Excellent at convincing people to get things done
  • A natural relationship builder
  • Extremely tech-savvy and able to communicate the technical aspects of our business with authority
  • Imaginative in how you find new clients, and rigorous and determined in converting those relationships into long-term engagements
  • Motivated by challenging targets
  • Able to understand clients’ pain points quickly and match those to the solutions we can provide.
  • Unafraid of hard work and inspired by an intellectually challenging environment

Extra credit if you:

  • Have worked in a technology company and/or with code
  • Have experience working in sales/business development, or a clearly transferable skillset in partner development, marketing or account management
  • Have worked or studied abroad
  • Speak multiple languages
