Lead Payroll Administrator at Carbon Black
Waltham, MA, US

The Carbon Black Finance Team is 30 people strong and this role will sit in the Accounting team. We are seeking a hands-on Lead Payroll Administrator to join the team in our Waltham Headquarters. The Lead Payroll Administrator role will process payroll for our US employees.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Process US multistate semimonthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now
  • Ensure payroll changes are properly documented and approved
  • Partner with HR to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll data
  • Ensure that all monthly, quarterly, and annual filing requirements are met
  • Ensure correct payroll processing of equity-related compensation (i.e., stock options, restricted stock units, employee stock purchase plan activity)
  • Assist with audits, including the annual audits of 401K and workers’ comp
  • Independently research and implement new reporting, regulations and laws as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees through timely, knowledgeable, and cordial response to questions and problem resolution
  • Thought lead payroll process improvement initiatives
  • Additional tasks and payroll-related responsibilities to keep pace with growing global organizational needs

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 7 years payroll experience with 500+ employee company
  • Associates degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now payroll system
  • Previous experience with Workday highly desired
  • Prior experience with equity administration and good understanding of related tax implications of stock and stock options in a publicly traded company
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative communicator
  • Upbeat/positive personality outlook
