Product Engineer at Ayar Labs
Santa Clara, CA, US

The Product Engineer will lead product development and New Product Introduction (NPI) for the Ayar Labs product. Responsibilities include CMOS and optoelectronic design validation and bring-up, drafting and documenting data sheets, and working with Design, Packaging, and Reliability Engineering to deliver qualified product. 

 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to bring-up leading edge silicon photonic and optoelectronic (e.g. DFB laser, Semiconductor Optical Amplifier, etc.) products
  • Perform design validation on new chips/products by electrically characterizing CMOS and III-V designs
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering on product improvements through Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), bench, etc. characterization
  • Lead the New Product Introduction by collaborating with Design, Package, and Reliability Engineering
  • Draft and manage data sheets, and support Field Applications Engineering
 
About you
  • BS/MS in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with CMOS or optoelectronic test, characterization, and design validation
  • Familiarity with CMOS or photonic circuit design and debug
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Engineering (VLSI and/or Photonic Integrated Circuits)
  • Strong technical writing skill is a plus
  • Familiarity with product qualification is a plus
