What is a micro-amusement park, you ask? A 50,000 ft² venue in the Arts District featuring re-imagined midway and arcade games, interactive story rooms, re-imagined carnival food, mastered mixology, a robot bartender, and so much more (that we can’t post here)!

 

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the group sales process by completing administrative tasks for the department. This position will support the financial objective of the company by executing various tasks related to sales and catering efforts.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to accept the most effective role;
  • Prepare sales contracts, correspondence, reports, forms, direct mail pieces, etc. as requested by the Sales Manager;
  • Develop and maintain contact databases;
  • Provide interested groups with appropriate sales information, reservation forms, contracts, processed itineraries and confirmations;
  • Provide support for Guest Services on day-of arrival and troubleshoot any reservation discrepancies;
  • Set up billing accounts;
  • Keep Park team informed of group sales updates;
  • Supports and monitors weekly sales and operations team meetings;
  • Culls and creates agenda/minutes for meetings with sales and operations team;
  • Create group proposals/sales materials/presentation/jump drives and sales kits for prospects as directed by Sales Coordinator and/or Sales team representatives;
  • Maintains positive relationships with current and prospective accounts as a member of corporate group sales team;
  • Group Sales Communications – Assist the sales and operations departments concerning group reservations.  This job requires direct contact with Sales Manager and team to ensure that guests receive timely replies to their requests;
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Position is based in Los Angeles;
  • Minimum two years of experience in guest service/hospitality; Background in event group sales a plus;
  • Fluency in another language besides English is preferred;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint is required, familiarity with Google docs is preferred;
  • General understanding of CRM platforms a plus;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a requirement;
  • Ability to develop rapport with fellow team members and management and maintain strong working relationships with property and corporate teams;
  • Assertive, professional and positive with a proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships;
  • At times, have the ability to work independently and maintain an extremely positive attitude within a very busy environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to track multiple tasks and issues, set goals and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment;
  • Education: High School Diploma required;
  • Experience working in a start-up environment and working in sales launching a new product or customer experience is preferred;
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis;
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance;

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit;
  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity;
  • Continually required to talk and hear;
  • Occasionally required to work in environment that is loud or very loud;
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
