RFP Technical Writer at Moovit

The Proposal Writer is responsible for on-time submission of complete, compliant, and compelling proposals and related documents in response to government and public solicitations. The Proposal Writer will also assist with business development documents and collateral such as white papers, RFIs, RFQs, and others.

 

Required Responsibilities:

  • Pre-RFP work and intelligence gathering through proposal submittal. Assist in tracking opportunities. Analyzing RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/white papers and gathering necessary information in preparation for writing the proposal.
  • Write clear, persuasive and articulate proposal sections (writing, editing, proofing, packaging, & delivery) to provide clients with information regarding managerial and technical capabilities. Respond to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, white papers, market surveys, sources sought notices, and task orders.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with staff to ensure proposal input is accurate, compelling, and timely. Responding to market surveys, sources sought notices, request for information, request for quotations, request for proposals, and task orders.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the Proposal Schedule, including major milestones such as due date and Final Content Reviews. Ensure writing style, win strategy, compliance, incorporation of themes, etc. are being met for each bid.
  • Write and edit as needed. Research, write, and edit technical / business / experience responses. Interview and collaborate with subject matter experts to draft technical material for proposals and other documents.
  • Analyze RFIs/RFQs/white papers; gather pertinent and necessary information to prepare proposals and customer solicitations.
  • Ensure that all proposals are quality products, submitted on-time; follow an efficient, effective, and repeatable process that demonstrates a mature proposal development environment.
  • Write and edit other written information and related documents, as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to write, edit and understand technical documents.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience in writing proposals.
  • Direct experience as a Proposal Writer; a technical background and working knowledge in Public Transit preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to edit and understand technical documents.
  • Team player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
  • Experience and understanding of government tenders is a plus.
