Marketing Assistant – DACH – 8 month fixed-term contract at DocuSign

Position Summary 

As the Marketing Assistant for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), you will be an active all-round contributor to an integrated, highly-collaborative marketing team, tasked with managing and executing strategic events, webinars and any additional marketing tasks needed to support the growth the DACH region.

You will support the DACH regional Marketing and Sales functions with strategic marketing activities to help build demand with prospective customers and pipeline for the DACH sales organization. You will partner closely with two DACH Marketing Managers to execute demand generation programs, including physical and virtual events, email marketing, social media, content creation and/or localization, and integrated campaigns. You will be responsible for ensure the successful execution of any activities, including tracking and measuring results.

This position is an individual contributor role and reports to Sr. Director EMEA Marketing.

Travel (up to 30%) for events and/or business development meetings with regional teams and partners.

Responsibilities

Support key elements of the DACH marketing strategy, by managing a calendar of events and webinars to increase awareness, drive engagement, generate leads, and support conversion rates. Support other marketing programs as needed.

Events Management

  • Support DACH team with online and offline events to drive demand
  • Help setting up live and on-demand webinars, using internal tools such as WebEx or working with external agencies, help Marketing Managers create Webinar agenda, build registration landing page and create email invites
  • Identify 3rd party events DocuSign should join to generate leads and improve brand awareness (needs, topics, goals, etc.) - manage relationship with vendors (booth spaces, booth design, booth delivery, set up and dismantling…)
  • Identify speaking opportunities at strategic 3rd party events, help Marketing Managers select the appropriate internal speakers, build strong relationships with sales teams to get their support in inviting customers joining on stage
  • Overall logistics management of 1st party events with venue selection, rooms layout definition, technical set up, catering, giveaways etc.
  • Help with the selection of giveaways for events, mange orders and deliveries at event locations
  • Support in overall event communication management, pre and post event: help defining event topic and event agenda, create registration pages, help defining and executing event promotion strategy (email invitations, invitations via sales team, social media etc.)
  • Follow up event registrations, create post-event reports (registrations target, nb of registrations, nb of attendees/booth visitors, event summary and budget invested)
  • Keep event calendar up to date with local 1st and 3rd party events, targets and budget allocated for each event

Additional marketing tasks

  • Build landing pages to promote local content, such as eBooks, White papers, customer testimonials case studies, videos etc.
  • Help with the setup of integrated marketing campaigns with target audiences
  • Support various other marketing projects as needed
  • Track and report on results.
  • Collaborate with sales team to ensure prompt and effective follow up with prospective customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of marketing or sales experience, preferably in the B2B space
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency level required), full professional proficiency in German, Dutch or French is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Experience with Marketing Automation, Eloqua, and CRM systems is a plus
  • Self-starter who can accomplish projects with the minimal need for supervision 
  • A great team player, enthusiastic, proactive, hands on and results driven
  • Aptitude for technology.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, partners and customers.
