Marketing Manager, DACH (German Speaking) at DocuSign

Position Summary 

As the Marketing Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), you will be an active all-round contributor to an integrated, highly-collaborative marketing team, tasked with developing and executing strategic marketing programs into the region for the large to enterprise business segment.

Responsible for demand generation and marketing communications strategy, in alignment with the company’s global direction, you will support the DACH regional Sales functions with integrated marketing programs to help achieve business objectives.

This position is an Individual Contributor role and reports to Sr. Marketing Manager of the DACH region.

Travel (up to 30%) for events and/or business development meetings with regional teams and partners and frequent travel to Paris.

Responsibilities

Drive key elements of the DACH territory strategy, by executing a calendar of online and offline activities to increase awareness, drive engagement, generate leads, and support conversion rates.

Marketing strategy and plan
With support of your team manager

  • Development of annual/quarterly marketing plans, working closely with the wider marketing team and sales leadership to align to business objectives.
  • Execution of marketing campaigns with the required tactics to meet targets for acquisition and management of the marketing lead pipeline. Tactics to include email, social media, events, digital advertising and syndication channels, webinars, web site experience, partners and sales engagements.
  • Track results of your campaigns on a monthly basis (leads, SQOs, closed-won projects) and improve performance with regular optimizations.
  • Influence the content strategy from a large business perspective, to develop content aligned to stages of the buyer journey for the Majors and Enterprise segment.

 

Cross team’ alignment

To succeed in this role close alignment with Sales and Partner’ teams is key

  • Be up to date on sales and partner’s initiatives and needs by building a strong relationship with main leaders and their teams
  • Collaborate with your segment sales leaders to achieve common goals for new pipe generation, thought leadership meetings and events
  • Support sales and partner’s teams achieving their quarterly targets by adjusting your plan to pipe requirements when needed
  • Represent DACH marketing team for your segment at Quarterly Business Review meetings

Digital marketing

  • Collaborate with European digital Marketing team to define and execute digital marketing strategy and activities in the German language.  
  • Manage the localization of our worldwide or European digital campaigns and create new digital campaigns optimized for the German market.
  • Collaborate with the corporate and European marketing teams to implement successful nurturing campaigns and processes.
  • Plan, Conceive and manage email campaigns according to specific market needs.
  • Set up educational and lead generation webinar programs in line with the overall marketing strategy
  • Plan and manage the flow of leads from campaigns into marketing automation systems and to sales team stakeholders to maximize pipeline generation and conversion.
  • Monitor email marketing metrics (opens, click-throughs, deliverability, registrations, etc.) and analyse/report the results to implement actions that enhance effectiveness (tests, etc.).
  • Influence the docusign.de website (SEO optimization, add new pages, optimize the conversion funnel).

Content marketing

  • Work closely with the content team to identify content needs according to market specificities
  • Define strategy and promote content delivered such as white papers, eBooks, customer references, blog articles.
  • Support events’ content (e.g. customer/partner conferences, webinars) by helping with development of presentations/sessions/trainings for all areas related to product value.

Events management

  • Identify 3rd party events DocuSign should join to generate leads and improve brand awareness (according to your area of the business, needs, topic, goals, etc.) - manage relationship with vendors (booth spaces, booth design, both delivery and set up…)
  • Identify speaking opportunities at strategic 3rd party events, select the appropriate internal speakers, build strong relationships with sales teams to get their support in inviting customers joining on stage
  • Overall logistics management of 1st party events with venue selection, rooms layout definition, technical set up, catering, giveaways etc.
  • Overall event communication management, pre and post event: define event topic and event agenda, create registration pages, define and execute event promotion strategy (email invitations, invitations via sales team, social media etc.)
  • Follow up event registrations, create post-event reports (registrations target, nb of registrations, nb of attendees/booth visitors, event summary and budget invested)
  • Keep your event calendar up to date with local 1st and 3rd party events, targets and budget allocated for each event

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years marketing experience, preferably in the B2B SaaS space
  • Proven experience in digital marketing & event management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German (fluency level required), full professional proficiency in English is necessary
  • Experience with Marketing Automation and CRM systems is a must. Eloqua expertise is a plus
  • Self-starter who can accomplish project with the minimal need for supervision 
  • A great team player, enthusiastic, proactive, hands on and results driven
  • Aptitude for technology.
