Director of Sales & Business Development Public Sector - EUROPE at Inrix

INRIX is seeking a world class Director, Public Sector Sales and Business Development, with significant Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) sales experience.  The position will be responsible for direct sales to government agencies as well as building and managing ITS partners in key countries across continental Europe.

The position location is flexible and reports to the GM, Global Public Sector, based in Seattle, Washington.  This position is a hands-on senior role within the company. S/he should demonstrate a proactive, business partnership style and the leadership capacity to assume increasing responsibility as the company grows.

INRIX is a global leader in Connected Car services and Transportation Analytics with over 450 customers worldwide, and significant existing public sector business across Europe.  

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly lead overall public sector sales in the region including current accounts and sales pipeline development for new national, regional and local transport agencies and city council relationships
  • Identify and leverage strategic partnerships with current and prospective ITS transportation consulting organizations; cultivate and manage partner, distribution, and channel relationships
  • Manage overall sales process, close customer contracts, assist in determining annual/monthly sales forecasts and update company leadership on sales prospects
  • Develop and manage Go To Market plan and work closely with Marketing to implement marketing programs for expanding the company’s customer base

REQUIRED SKILLSET

  • Proven experience selling and closing deals for ITS solutions into public sector a requirement
  • Experience in selling DaaS/SaaS offerings
  • Significant experience in managing relationships with customers and the ability to navigate large organisations to reach and influence key decision makers  
  • Excellent ability to organize, synthesize, and present information.
  • Experience with managing the development of proposals and tender responses
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial organisation while supporting large existing customers  
  • Excellent ability to organise, produce and present information to senior leadership and key stakeholders on product and sales teams
  • Results-oriented with a sense of urgency and passion; proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Ability to work across various cultures; ability to speak multiple languages a plus
  • Comfortable presenting product demonstrations and participating in technical discussions
  • Proficiency using SalesForce.com
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA a plus 
  • A willingness to travel overnight up to 40% 
  • Work location in region by major airport; flexible on city
