Business Development Representative at Parallels

Role:  
As a Business Development Rep (BDR), you will play a key role in supporting the success of our Americas Service Provider Sales team. Your mission will be to assist your Senior Sales Managers to win net new business and grow MRR with existing SPLA based Independent Software Vendors (ISV), Managed Service Providers (MSP), Cloud Service Providers (CSP) partners.  

 

Parallels remote Application Server enables Service Providers (SP’s) to offer hosted or managed applications and/or desktops as a highly profitable service. Industry wide, these offerings are expected to grow at an exponential rate which makes the Parallels Service Provider Program (PSP) an extremely important segment of Parallels success.  

 

The ideal candidate will have experience selling SaaS, VDI/DaaS solutions to Service Providers, understand the SP business model and have technical understanding of Virtualization solutions. As a Parallels BDR, you will collaborate with the sales and marketing team to partner and serve a great sales organization based in our Bellevue WA office. We are looking for driven, passionate professionals with a strong desire to learn, collaborate, lean in and try new things, work hard, have fun, and win.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the outbound prospecting effort by executing demand generation campaigns to target accounts and stakeholders (phone, email, social, etc.)

  • Work closely with existing ISV, MSP and CSP partners to ensure high level of service and support.

  • Qualify inbound lead prospects and lead opportunity progression (or assign to Sr. Sales Reps)  

  • Work with new small to mid-sized PSP partners to ensure they are on boarded, technically trained on product, sales process and key resources Parallels direct or through distribution.

  • Assist with ensuring Americas weekly sales forecast accuracy and CRM pipeline integrity.

 

Expectations and Experience:

  • 3-5 years previous experience in a technology account/business/sales development role preferred.  

  • Ability to support/assist the day to day requirements of the Sr Sales team.

  • Effective web presentation skills

  • Experience working with service providers and understanding the unique business requirements for successful partnerships is preferred.  

  • Understanding of SPLA and MRR licensing models and how to effectively drive growth.

  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work effectively with other teams or business units

  • Ability to articulate the business and technical value of virtualization, cloud, DaaS, SaaS, VDI and Mobility driven solutions

  • Previous experience with Citrix XenApp/desktop, VM Ware Horizon, Microsoft RDS and associated CSP programs a huge plus.

  • Attention to detail and ability to learn and follow our sales development process and capture data into Salesforce.com CRM
