Business Development Executive - UK at Movable Ink

The Business Development Executive (BDE)’s goals will be to fill the Sales team’s pipeline with qualified leads. The BDE role is designed to provide individuals with hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment where things are constantly changing and evolving. 

Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:

  • Develop new relationships through phone, email, and social media communications in order to establish meetings with senior level decisions makers in companies that could benefit from what we have to offer
  • Assess the prospect's needs, explain Movable Ink solutions, qualify the prospect, and schedule meetings for your Sales Managers to begin their sales process
  • Assist in the consultative sales process by learning as much as you can about a prospect and sharing that information with the relevant Sales Manager
  • Work in tandem with your Sales Managers and Marketing to research potential targets and identify key players and penetrate those targets by using creative strategies and tactics
  • Utilize our sales database and marketing automation tools to manage your pipeline and maintain accurate information about suspects, prospects, and their companies

Essential Skillsets/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or equivalent experience
  • Very good business writing and communication skills
  • Good eye for detail and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment
  • Ambitious, self-motivated and driven, personable, able to work alone and as part of a team
  • Receptive to ideas and feedback

Desired Skillsets/Knowledge/Experience:

  • 1 + years of experience in a market/sales development role
  • Domain experience
  • Previous experience prospecting for an Enterprise SaaS or Financial Services firm
  • Familiarity with and marketing automation platforms like Marketo and Eloqua
  • Proven track record achieving measurable monthly lead development goals with a senior level audience
  • A solid understanding of what it takes to effectively manage and execute inbound and outbound prospecting strategies
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, highly automated sales environment
